Brantley Gilbert will release his fifth studio album, Fire & Brimstone, on October 4th. The project includes Brantley's current hit duet with Lindsay Ell, "What Happens In A Small Town."

Brantley wrote or co-wrote all the songs on the album, which ended up totaling more than he expected. "To be honest with you, the process was a lot of fun, and I had said I was only gonna put like 12 songs on this album. I was like, 'Man, I have a bad habit of burning songs these days,' but the way people consume music is so different. You know, a lot of times when you put too many songs on an album there's just too many to give each one a life, but you know we ended up with 15 (laughs). I'm really proud of the 15 we've got."

Guests on Fire & Brimstone include Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson and Colt Ford.

Brantley has already released two songs from the new album - "Man That Hung the Moon" and "Not Like Us."
