Eva Marcille Weighs In On Winnie Harlow's Comments About 'Top Model'
Eva Marcille has responded to the comments Winnie Harlow made about America’s Next Top Model back in May. According to VH1.com, Winnie said during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, "I really started after the show, ’cause that really didn’t do anything for my career…which, it doesn’t do anything for any model’s career, realistically. A photographer from London hit me up—major photographer Nick Knight—and he was like, ‘Hey, I’ve seen your photos online, and I want to do a shoot with you.’ It went viral, and I got campaigns from there, and it hasn’t stopped since." Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on WWHL, Eva responded to Winnie’s comments and said, "It amazes me that people get opportunities and they totally forget who gave them these opportunities." She continued, "Winnie Harlow is a beautiful girl, but let’s be clear, we know her ‘cause of ‘Top Model.’ the world knows her, Drake knows her, Wiz Khalifa knows, her because of Top Model. So, to diss Tyra, who gave everyone this huge platform, I think it’s really wack." Tyra Banks previously addressed Winnie’s comments, saying that she discovered her on Instagram.
