Feds Blame Troy Gentry's Death On Pilot Error
The death of Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry due to a helicopter crash in September of 2017 has officially been blamed on pilot error. The National Transportation Safety Board made its findings public yesterday (Tuesday, December 4th). Gentry and his pilot were both killed on September 8th in Medford, NJ when the aircraft crashed near a small airport and entertainment venue where Gentry and his musical partner, Eddie Montgomery, were scheduled to perform later that day. Gentry was 50 at the time of his death. He left behind a wife and two daughters.
