Ghost Shares Eerie Lyric Video For 'Faith'

Ghost has shared an eerie lyric video for "Faith," the Swedish act's third consecutive Top 10 rock radio hit from its 2018 album, Prequelle. The clip features footage of old brain surgery techniques as the lyrics are displayed over the images, some of which may be disturbing.

Ghost main man Tobias Forge told us not long ago that macabre themes and dark subjects are close to his heart in real life: "Horror and the devil and heavy metal and all that, that's in my blood. That itself was never a commercial add-on. In my opinion, it's very sincere and it's very much part of me. As fictitious as everything seems, like a charade and like a facade, it's actually very much those things that I grew up with and things that I like seeing myself."

"Faith" has climbed to Number Nine on the rock airplay survey, following the band's two previous singles, "Rats" and "Dance Macabre," both of which reached the top of the chart.

Ghost is currently on tour in Europe as special guests of Metallica, but will return to North America this fall for the "Ultimate Tour Named Death," which kicks off on September 13th in Bakersfield, California.

Forge has said in a recent interview with Ireland's Overdrive that he intends to enter the studio in January 2020 to begin work on the band's fifth LP. He estimates it will take him five or six months to complete it, with an early 2021 arrival possible.
