BUSHWICK BILL DIES AT AGE 52: Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys has passed away at age 52 after battling pancreatic cancer. Reports surfaced on Sunday (June 9th) that Bill has passed away following an Instagram post from Scarface. However, the rapper’s son later debunked the reports. Bushwick Bill’s publicist, Dawn P., confirmed to NPR that the rapper died on Sunday evening in Colorado. She also shared the news via Instagram, writing, "Bushwick Bill passed away peacefully today at 9:35 p.m. His family appreciates all of the prayers and support, He will truly be missed."

THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. OFFICIALLY GETS HIS OWN BROOKLYN STREET: CBS New York has reported that The Notorious B.I.G. has officially received his own Street in Brooklyn. The city held a renaming ceremony on Monday (June 10th) for the corner of Fulton Street and St. James Place in Clinton Hills. The corner will now be known as Christopher ‘Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace Way. Lil Kim, Lil Cease, Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, his children and a host of others were in attendance.
