JAY-Z AND KANYE WEST TOP FORBES’ HIGHEST PAID ENTERTAINERS LIST: According to VIBE, Forbes has released their annual highest-paid entertainers list, and Kanye West, JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Diddy and Drake are among the 100 celebs named. Kanye came in at No. 3, earning $150 million — with the majority coming from his Adidas partnership. JAY-Z is tied with his wifey, Beyoncé, with $81 million. Drake earned $75 million, while Diddy came in at $70 million. Rihanna, Travis Scott, Eminem and DJ Khaled made the list as well.

KEVIN GATES UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ALLEGEDLY BRINGING MONEY INTO LOUISIANA PRISON: Complex has reported that Kevin Gates is under investigation for allegedly bringing more than $300 into a Louisiana prison. On Monday (July 8th), the rapper posted pictures to his Instagram page, which appeared to show him flaunting a stack of $100 bills, while visiting inmates at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel. It is unclear if the money was real, but the since-deleted Instagram post has resulted in an investigation.

CARDI B CELEBRATES HER DAUGHTER’S 1ST BIRTHDAY: In honor of Cardi B’s daughter’s 1st birthday, which was on Wednesday (July 10th), thee rapper released snippet of an unheard record that didn’t make her Invasion of Privacy album. Over a sample of Eve’s "Love Is Blind," Cardi spoke to her daughter Kulture and said, "Hearing public opinions about my private decisions / And that right there is enough to drive you crazy / Complete strangers talkin’ ’bout my baby / Coming from people that never used to check for me / They brought opinions, but nothing off the registry / ‘Cardi, you so stupid, you gon’ ruin your career’ / I know I won’t, but if I did, I wouldn’t care / I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me / Think I’ma lose with my little baby counting on me?"

KODAK BLACK’S TEAM CLAIMS RACIAL PROFILING LED TO FIREARMS ARREST: The Blast is reporting that Kodak Black’s team is claiming that racial profiling led to the rapper’s fire arms arrest. A member of the rapper’s team said that the details surround the case are questionable. The rep also said, "He says he observes him handling guns ... why is that a crime? Because he's black and has jewelry on? At that point, he doesn't even know anything is illegal ... It seems like a set up and profiling." As previously reported, the rapper was arrested back in May, shortly before he was due to perform at the Rolling Loud festival.
