Hip Hop Beats: Tekashi 6ix9ine & Lil Wayne!
REPORT: MORE GUILTY PLEAS TO COME IN TEKASHI 6IX9INE CASE: Complex has reported that more guilty pleas may be coming in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s case. On Tuesday (April 30th), 6ix9ine’s racketeering trial had its first all-defendant conference since February. The case, which included 6ix9ine, his former manager Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones, and eight other defendants, is now down to five after half a dozen guilty pleas, including 6ix9ine and Shotti. The hearing mainly focused on procedural issues, but new evidence was introduced. Defendant Kintea "Kooda B" McKenzie was accused of shooting at Chief Keef outside of Manhattan’s W Hotel last June. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Longyear explained that on the surveillance video from the incident, someone is seen discarding a water bottle. The NYPD recovered the bottle and tested it for DNA. The results came in that McKenzie’s DNA was "included" on the bottle. Longyear added that the odds of the DNA belonging to someone other than McKenzie is "a trillion to one." Longyear also revealed that more guilty pleas may be coming. He added, "We are engaged in active plea discussions with several of the defendants." The next all-defendant hearing is scheduled for August 21st.
