Journalist Toure Accused Of Sexual Harassment

Journalist Touré Neblett, who recently appeared on Lifetime’s, Surviving R. Kelly, has been accused of sexual harassment. According to ESSENCE, Touré appeared on Mouse Jones’ podcast, The Clubhouse, alongside Jamilah Lemieux. There, he spoke about R. Kelly and his attempts to pick up underage girls at local Chicago high schools.

A makeup artist, who goes by the Instagram "danimakeup," left a comment alleging that in 2017, Touré sexually harassed her. She said on social media, "He couldn’t stop asking me to do anal, how I looked naked, if I had sex over the weekend, what it would be like to f**k me."

During an interview with ESSENCE, Dani shared additional details about her experience with Touré, saying, "I worked with him most of 2017, I left in October, before he left." Dani said that after she quit, she reported Touré to human resources. Dani claims she received an apology from the journalist via social media, which she also shared screenshots of. She added, "I accepted his apology and was ok to move on but, you can’t be a sexual predator and go around shaming other predators."

Touré has since issued a statement through his rep, which said, "On the show, our team, including myself, engaged in edgy, crass banter, that at the time I did not think was offensive for our tight-knit group. I am sorry for my language and for making her feel uncomfortable in any way. As a lead on the show, I should have refrained from this behavior. I have learned and grown from this experience."
