Kim Kardashian Meets With Alice Marie Johnson, Pitches Twitter Overhaul

Kim Kardashian, 37, is traveling to Memphis to meet with Alice Marie Johnson, whom she helped free from prison.

Johnson, a great-grandmother, was serving a life sentence for a low-level drug offense when Kardashian learned of her plight. After months of talks with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner about Johnson, she met with President Donald Trump, who agreed to pardon and free her.

This will be the first time the KKW mogul meets with the 63-year-old in person, but she has spoken with her over the phone, and Kardashian herself delivered the news of her release.

"When Kim told me that I was being released, I started jumping and screaming and crying, and everyone else was crying," Johnson said during her June 7 Good Morning America appearance on ABC. "It was wonderful. I’m so glad that she was the one who was able to deliver the news to me. It was a perfect ending."

Johnson and Kardashian are slated to appear on the Today Show together today (Thursday) on NBC.

Never one to choke on an opportunity, Kardashian has moved on from securing presidential pardons to fixing Twitter.

As Kardashian tweeted, "I had a very good convo with @jack this weekend at Kanye’s bday and I think he really heard me out on the edit button," tagging the cofounder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey.

The 41-year-old Twitter honcho joked back, "Now I see why I was invited!" to which the KKW founder responded, "Hahaha never! Kanye loves you! But I had to bring it up".
