Lil Wayne Splits With Longtime Management

Lil Wayne has ended his relationship with his longtime manager, Cortez Bryant. According to The Blast, it was recently revealed that Wayne "terminated" Bryant and his Blueprint Group in 2018. The split reportedly occurred prior to the release of Tha Carter V, which dropped in September 2018.

Wayne is now reportedly being managed by his former assistant, Devon Diaz, and Young Money president Mack Maine. Meanwhile, the rapper’s former lawyer, Ronald Sweeney, is suing Bryant and Mack Maine, claiming that they got him fired to keep money for themselves. Sweeney is suing for defamation and is seeking unspecified damages for the millions of dollars he believes he lost from future commissions by having Wayne as a client.

Nicki Minaj recently split with Bryant as well.
