Metallica has shared the official trailer for S&M2, the concert movie that will be filmed at the band's two shows with the San Francisco Symphony next month. The pair of performances are a follow-up to the band's original S&M shows from 20 years ago, while the movie will be a sequel to the album and film made from those gigs.

The upcoming concerts with the San Francisco Symphony will take place on September 6th and 8th, commemorating the grand opening of the city's new Chase Center venue. The shows will feature the first live orchestral arrangements of S&M songs in 20 years, as well as songs written and released since the original show.

Fans who can't be there to see it live will have the opportunity to see the movie when it is shown one night only, on October 9th, in more than 3,000 movie theaters around the world. Tickets for the film are on sale now.

In other news, Billboard reports that the summer 2019 leg of Metallica's "WorldWired" tour grossed more than $70 million from 13 shows. The highest-earning date raked in $8.2 million and took place on June 8th in Meath, Ireland, where a near-capacity crowd of 71,122 saw the band perform at the iconic venue Slane Castle.
