Nipsey Hussle's 'Celebration Of Life' To Air On BET

Nipsey Hussle’s life will be celebrated during a public memorial today (April 11th) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. According to Rap-Up, those who are unable to attend Nipsey’s "Celebration of Life" can watch it live on BET, who will broadcast the entire funeral service at 1 p.m. ET on BET and BET Digital.

Connie Orlando, Head of Original Programming, BET Networks, said of Nipsey, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey is part of the BET family and first appeared on the Network in 2009 in a Hip Hop Awards cypher, we share this loss with his millions of fans around the world. From his insurmountable talent to his commitment to reaching back to underserved communities Nipsey’s kind spirit will be sorely missed. We will keep his entire family as well as our BET sister, Lauren London in our thoughts and prayers during this immensely difficult time."

In other news, fans have been celebrating Nipsey’s life by streaming his music — specifically his album, Victory Lap. According to Billboard, four tracks from the album have posthumously hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of April 13th. The publication wrote, "Three of the tracks, ‘Double Up,’ featuring Belly and Dom Kennedy, (No. 65) ‘Last Time That I Checc’d,’ featuring YG (No.82), and 'Dedication,' featuring Kendrick Lamar (No. 93), are from the rapper's 2018 album Victory Lap, which re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 2, a new peak."
