Amid A$AP Rocky’s detainment in Sweden, fans are recollecting when the rapper made harsh comments about the events that took place in Ferguson and the Black Lives Matter movement during a 2016 interview with Time Out magazine. The rapper said at the time, "Why, because I'm Black? So every time something happens because I'm Black I gotta stand up? What the f**k am I, Al Sharpton now? I'm A$AP Rocky. I did not sign up to be no political activist. I don't wanna talk about no f**king Ferguson and sh*t because I don't live over there! I live in f**king Soho and Beverly Hills. I can't relate. I'm in the studio; I'm in these fashion studios; I'm in these b*tches' drawers. I'm not doing anything outside of that. That's my life."

Meanwhile, according to HotNewHipHop, Joe Budden has blasted Crissle from the podcast, The Read, who brought up Rocky’s comments about Ferguson on Twitter.

Budden responded to Crissle, saying, "I don’t like that this is coming up now, I don’t think it adds anything to the narrative. Nor does it change how I feel. If it changes how you feel, then you should look inside your heart. He’s in a real fu**ed up situation over there, how I feel about that is not altered by how he feels about anything."

He added, "That’s so nasty on Twitter. But that nasty a** bum a** homegirl, I seen her put it out. It’s just like, you n***as that be preaching this pro black sh*t but get evil in a heartbeat…woo."

Crissle responded to Budden via Twitter, writing, "Lmfaoooooo I know all about how budden's b*tch a** is STEAM pressed over me and our show. N***a oughta be glad I paved the way for him. I am not talking about his goofy a** on my bigger, longer running, more money making, coming to TV this fall show. He can get these tweets though."

Joe tweeted-then-deleted, "Your show died long ago and you’re in a bunch of bad deals cuz your business acumen is in the trash but I guess cook sis…"

SWEDISH PRISON RESPONDS TO A$AP ROCKY’S CLAIMS

On another note, the Swedish prison where A$AP Rocky is currently being detained has responded to claims that the prison is in "inhumane conditions." According to Page Six, the governor of the Swedish prison said that the prison is "recently renovated," clean and offers three meals a day to it’s prisoners. The governor added, "Normally, you live in a prison cell which consists of a desk, a bed with a mattress and a TV. During the last few years, we have completed a large reconstruction where all the prison cells as well as the rest of the remand prison have been completely renovated, which make the remand prison in good condition. I have no knowledge on any current diseases in the remand prison."

In other news, Rocky has had to cancel shows due to his imprisonment. According to Complex, the rapper has canceled European tour dates, as well as festival appearances throughout July. His manager told Sónar, a festival that takes place in Barcelona, Spain, "ASAP Rocky is being detained in a Swedish jail for an unknown period of time for acting in self-defense during an altercation that took place. Due to this unfortunate situation he is forced to cancel his European festival and tour dates in July."

As of right now, his August tour dates are still set to take place.
