Police Claim That 21 Savage Had A Fully-Loaded Gun At Time Of Arrest

TMZ has reported that police are claiming that 21 Savage was pulled over after "driving recklessly" and was potentially going to hit a fully-marked cop car on Sunday (February 3rd) when he was taken into custody. Police also believe that the rapper was in possession of a fully-loaded Glock gun.

Three police reports claimed that 21 was in a red Dodge Challenger and drove across the sidewalk in an attempt to get onto another street. The police pulled him over and ATF agents ordered 21 to stop and throw his keys out of the window. The rapper complied and also reportedly threw out a bottle, which contained an unknown substance.

Once he got out of the car, 21 was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody by ATF. The police report said that a fully-loaded Glock with an extended magazine was found in the glove box of the car. There was also a styrofoam cup containing an unknown substance in the center of the console.

It was previously reported that ICE took the rapper into custody at the time of his arrest. However, the documents do not mention ICE. Other law enforcement agencies were mentioned, including DeKalb K-9 Unit, Vice Unit, Narcotics Unit, ATF, Georgia State Patrol and the DeKalb 90 Unit.

A source at ATF claims that ICE was there, but was not listed on the report.

21’s lawyers, however, have denied TMZ’s report about the rapper being arrested for a loaded gun. Alex Spiro in a statement, "ICE has confirmed he was targeted for immigration enforcement and nothing more. He was never arrested by the police, and some other individual’s firearm and vehicle is not our concern here."

The rapper’s other attorney, Brian Steel, said that the gun in the car did not belong to 21. Steel said, "That was not his car and the gun retrieved is not his. No one will be falsely accusing my client. 21 Savage has done absolutely nothing wrong."
