CHARLIE PUTH SCRUBS HIS SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS AND DEBUTS SHAVED HEAD: Charlie Puth has wiped his social media accounts clean. As of Friday, the only post on his Instagram and Twitter was a new photo of himself smiling with a freshly shaved head. "Remember me?" he captioned it. The comments section was flooded with fans saying they missed him, and giving their mixed reactions on his new ‘do. No word yet on the sudden need for a fresh start. Charlie’s last album, Voicenotes, came out in May 2018 and featured the singles "Attention" and "How Long." He’s set to appear on the NBC songwriter competition show, Songland, this season.
JONAS BROTHERS PERFORM ‘YEAR 3000’ WITH BUSTED AT CAPITAL SUMMERTIME BALL 2019: The Jonas Brothers brought out a special guest to perform their song "Year 3000″ at the 2019 Capital Summertime Ball held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday in London, England. The trio was joined by band Busted for the first time together. Busted is actually the original artist of the song. "Year 3000 at #CapitalSTB with the one and only @busted!! Thank you guys for hitting the stage with us 😎🇬🇧," Jonas Brothers wrote on Instagram. Also in attendance were fellow performers Rita Ora, Halsey, who brought out Khalid during her set, Ellie Goulding, Mark Ronson, Ava Max, Lauv, Mabel, Becky Hill, HRVY, and Sigrid.
CAMILA CABELLO’S ‘CINDERELLA’ GETS A RELEASE DATE: The release date for Sony Pictures’ Cinderella, starring Camila Cabello in her feature film debut, has been announced. The musical reimagining of the fairy tale classic will open on February 5, 2021. James Corden and Leo Pearlman will produce the film through their Fulwell73 production company. The new version of the classic reportedly stemmed from an original idea from Corden. Kay Cannon, who wrote the Pitch Perfect movies and directed the comedy Blockers, is on board to direct.
MABEL DROPS NEW TRACK, ‘MAD LOVE’: After striking gold with her breakthrough hit "Don't Call Me Up," Mabel continues to take charge with "Mad Love." On the assertive and unapologetic track, the rising British singer spells out her expectations for a new guy she wants to take home. "All night give me mad love," she repeats on the chorus. "Yeah don’t let me down, duh-duh-down." The video for the song features Mabel in various different looks and wigs as she dances and flirts with the camera. Mabel’s debut album, High Expectations, is due out August 2nd.
TAYLOR SWIFT, BILLIE EILISH ON JAMES CORDEN’S "CARPOOL KARAOKE" WISH LIST: Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Beyoncé are all on James Corden’s wish list for "Carpool Karaoke." Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Late Late Show host named artists he’d want to book for the popular segment, which features famous musicians and celebrities driving around in a car with Corden while singing songs together. Corden also listed Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and Kanye West as his dream "Carpool Karaoke" guests. Previous participants include Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paul McCartney, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Adele, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus, among others.
