R&B Snippets: Janet Jackson, Rihanna & R. Kelly!
JANET JACKSON DOESN'T HAVE A NANNY: Janet Jackson has revealed that she doesn't have a nanny to help with her two year old son Eissa. She told Stellar magazine how she balances motherhood and her career, "It is hard being a working mother. I don't have a nanny, I do it all myself. Of course, when I'm working someone watches him, but it's my baby and me." She added, "I've slowed down a great deal. I don't rehearse as many hours as I used to because of being with my baby. My days have been cut in half so I can spend that time with him."Her 18-show residency, called the Metamorphosis, at Las Vegas' Park Theater is ending this month.
RIHANNA SLAMS JOE BIDEN FOR RECENT COMMENTS ABOUT 'POOR KIDS': Rihanna took to social media to slam Joe Biden for his recent comments about poor kids. While campaigning in Iowa, the former Vice President said,"We have this notion that somehow if you're poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids." After a pause, he tried to correct himself by saying: "Wealthy kids. Black kids. Asian kids. No, I really mean it. But think how we think about it." Biden faced a lot of backlash for his comments. RiRi took to IG to respond, writing, "Whoa! And he's convinced he said something great here! Even when they fake it, the truth about how they feel about us is blatant!"
R. KELLY'S LAWYER SAYS HE'S VERY EMOTIONAL IN JAIL: R. Kelly's attorney says that the singer is not doing so well in jail. Kelly is in prison on obstruction of justice, child pornography, and racketeering charges. A judge denied his request for bail as prosecutors said he could tamper with witnesses and should be considered a flight risk. Attorney Steve Greenberg said about his condition, "I've seen him get very emotional. He's dealing with a lot of stories that have been made up. He's not a fighter. I've seen him cry when he talks about the situation." He added that the singer "has a stage persona who is used to having people around him all the time. His life in solitary is now minus TV. No radio. No music. And no books. He's also a spiritual guy, has a Bible with him in his cell, but he can't read it. It's basically there for comfort. Now he's been placed in the MCC's ‘SHU' — a cell in solitary confinement away from the jail population and is constantly being moved from cell to cell. He has only the guards to talk to."
