Soulja Boy Sentenced To 240 Days In Jail For Probation Violation
Soulja Boy will be off the scene for a few months. According to TMZ, the rapper appeared in court on Tuesday (April 30th), where he was sentenced to 240 days in jail — 8 months, and 265 days of community service for violating his probation. A judge told Soulja that he was originally considering sentencing him to two years in state prison. The rapper’s attorney said that Soulja had an "awakening" during the last 20 days in jail. However, that was not enough to convince the judge to go easy on his sentence. Soulja will begin the sentence right away and will receive credit for 40 days served.
The rapper was taken into custody earlier this month after the judge said he failed to do his court ordered community service and conspired to falsify evidence that he completed the community service.
Also, back in February, Soulja’s home was raided and police found ammunition while investigating a claim from an alleged ex-girlfriend who said that he kidnapped her.
