Teddy Geiger & Emily Hampshire Call Off Engagement
Teddy Geiger and Emily Hampshire are ending their engagement.
The 30-year-old singer-songwriter and the 37-year-old Schitt’s Creek actress have decided to split after getting engaged seven months ago, Page Six reports. According to the outlet, the duo "will not get back together."
Teddy and Emily shared their first photo together on Instagram in August 2018. The chronology of the breakup is not yet known, but the pair were last photographed together at the Canadian Screen Awards in March, and they’re not following each other on Instagram.
Emily was Teddy’s first public girlfriend since her transition. She came out as transgender in October 2017.
In December, the pair announced their engagement. "When she asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of our lives together I said… YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES INFINITE YES ♥️ I love u @emilyhampshire," Geiger wrote on Instagram, uploading a photo of a heart-shaped ring.
Emily also shared the images of Teddy in her post-engagement glow. "#shesaidyes 😍💍 ...& she cried, then she made a video, then she posted it on insta and was glad she got her nails done today," Emily wrote. "My millennial girlfriend is now my millennial #fiance & I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. 😍❤️"
