Thomas Rhett's 'Very Hot Summer Tour' Is A First

Thomas Rhett just launched his headlining Very Hot Summer Tour up in Canada with special guest Dustin Lynch. The U.S. leg of the tour begins on May 17th in Spokane, WA with additional guests Russell Dickerson and Thomas' dad, hit songwriter Rhett Akins, and it doesn't wrap up until mid-October. For Thomas, the tour marks a big transition. He tells us: "This summer, this is gonna be my first year literally headlining the whole year. You know, we’ve headlined a couple of tours in the past, just doing arenas, but always kinda getting on different tours. Did Kenny Chesney last year, so this year on the Very Hot Summer Tour will be the first time that we’re doing a whole year of headlining, half arenas and then half amphitheaters. This will be the first time I’ve ever done amphitheaters as a headliner, which is super exciting. I’ve always wanted to do this in the summertime and getting to bring my dad out to open the show is going to be incredible. Russell Dickerson is one of my best friends in the world, and Dustin Lynch is just on fire – just a great group of people who I think we’re going to have an excellent time on the road and really just get people ready for summertime."

Thomas' fans will get to hear some new music off his upcoming album, Center Point Road, which will be released on May 31st. It includes his latest hit single, "Look What God Gave Her."
