Tim McGraw is featured in a new PSA for Stand Up To Cancer as part of a new campaign encouraging fans to "rewrite the skies" in honor of their loved ones. People.com reports that American Airlines is partnering with the organization to provide the opportunity to add a family member or friend’s name to one of its planes in honor of those who are cancer survivors, currently battling the disease or have died from cancer.

Anyone who makes a donation of $25 or more to Stand Up To Cancer during the month of July can add the name of a person to the American Airlines Airbus A321, which is set to begin flying this fall. All donations will support Stand Up to Cancer’s research programs. To donate, visit aa.com/standup.

Tim said, "Every family in America has a cancer story, my own family included. Too many of us have lost our parents, children, spouses and friends to this terrible disease. I’ve been so touched by the stories of the American Airlines team members I’ve met over the past month and I’m honored to lend my voice to this campaign to help create a world where all cancer patients can become long-term survivors and have more time with the people they love."

Tim lost his father, baseball pitcher Tug McGraw, to cancer in 2004.
