MAN BREAKS INTO TAYLOR SWIFT’S HOME, TAKES OFF SHOES TO BE ‘POLITE’: Police say a man who broke into Taylor Swift’s beachfront mansion in Rhode Island took his shoes off because he wanted to be polite. Westerly police who responded to the home just after 5 p.m. Friday found 26-year-old Richard Joseph McEwan inside. Police Chief Shawn Lacey said the Milford, New Jersey, man wasn’t wearing shoes. When asked why, he said he was always taught to take his shoes off when entering someone’s home to be polite. He’s charged with breaking and entering and willful trespassing. Lacey says his officers have had to deal with several suspicious people at the singer’s home, but this is the first time he remembers someone making it inside.
MILEY CYRUS AND KAITLYNN CARTER REPORTEDLY MOVE IN TOGETHER: Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter are now rumored to be living together. The couple supposedly moved in over the Labor Day weekend. People magazine reports that the two were inseparable over the holiday weekend, holding hands and wrapping arms around one other. A source said things have heated up between the two. “They live together and are very happy,” the insider claims, “Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.” The couple was also spotted having another lunch date with Cyrus’ mom, Tish Cyrus, in Los Angeles. Carter’s and Cyrus’ whirlwind romance kicked off in mid-August following Miley’s husband Liam Hemsworth filing for divorce.
BRITNEY SPEARS DEBUTS BRUNETTE HAIR ON INSTAGRAM: Britney Spears has a new look. The 37-year-old singer posted a series of pictures on her Instagram on Wednesday showcasing her new brunette hair. “Same faces, same dress, new hair !!!!! 👠 Yes, my sister inspired me to go dark !!!!!!!,” she captioned the series of selfies, referring to her sister Jamie Lynn Spears.
NEW SEASON OF ‘LIVE FROM THE ARTISTS DEN’ TO FEATURE SHAWN MENDES AND JAMES BAY: A new season of Live from the Artists Den will kick off the week of September 16th on public television. Each episode of Season 13 will feature performances by artists including Shawn Mendes and James Bay. Shawn’s episode has him playing to an intimate group of 750 fans at 99 Scott in Brooklyn, running through hits like “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan” from his self-titled album. James takes the stage at New York City’s newly renovated Webster Hall, singing “Let It Go” and “Hold Back the River” as well as the single “Bad” from his latest EP, Oh My Messy Mind. Charli XCX and Vance Joy will also perform this season. Charli plays a special WorldPride NYC edition of Live from the Artists Den, while Vance plays the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Check your local listings for air dates and times.
