Roc Nation And The NFL Donate $400K To Chicago Charities
Roc Nation and the NFL have donated $400,000 to two Chicago charities. According to TMZ, the donations are part of the newly-launched and announced Inspire Change Program, which will benefit the Better Boys Foundation Family (BBF) Services organization and the Crusher’s Club. These programs, according to the site, gives at-risk youth alternatives to gang violence and criminal activity.
The charities were reportedly hand-picked by Roc Nation.
Meek Mill, Rapsody and Meghan Trainor — who were announced as the NFL’s first Inspire Change advocates, will visit both programs this week.
Rap-Up also reports that all three artists will perform a free concert today (September 5th) at Chicago’s Grant Park during the NFL Kickoff Experiences. These performances will be the first in the Sons of the Season concert series, which will showcase well-known and emerging artists and integrate their songs in NFL promotions.
The site adds that under the Inspire Change program, Roc Nation, the NFL and the Players Coalition reportedly plan to make donations to two groups in every NFL city.
