A proposed apartment building on Okanagan Lake is getting a second chance.

The original rezoning application for a six-storey, 19-unit apartment complex on Brooks Lane was rejected by Vernon City Council.

Councillor Akbal Mund brought the proposal back to council this week because the developer is changing their plans.  He says the they're looking for solutions to the concerns over traffic and parking on the narrow lane and will limit the rentals to a minimum of a month.

A second public hearing is planned for the August council meeting.
