    Parkinson SuperWalk is the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia and the event licensor, Parkinson Canada. Communities across the country organize walks to raise funds for critical programs, support services, advocacy efforts and contributions to research. This year, our goal is to attract over 2,500 walkers from across the province and raise $475,000. Join us on at Waterfront Park on Saturday, September 8th for the Parkinson SuperWalk! Registration begins at 9am with the 1km loop walk starting at 10am.
  • The Great Canadian Bacon Chase

    Parkinson Recreation Centre (1800 Parkinson Way) - Kelowna
    The Great Canadian Bacon Chase is back! Join us for a 5km Scurry or a .05km Saunter. Your registration includes running and eating unlimited BC bacon! The starting pen will be located at the Parkinson Recreation and the herd of runners will be released in a 5km hustle down the Rails for Trails path. There will be multiple BC Bacon stations along the way to keep you on track and at the top of your game. The 0.05km saunter is the ultimate fast track to pig heaven. Walk 164 feet from the parking lot to the Pig Pen and enjoy the same bacon ecstasy as the 5km runners. Net proceeds from our event will support the Boys and Girls Club of the Central Okanagan. At the end of the run enjoy a pancake breakfast, more bacon, a bouncy castle for the kids, tasty cocktails and surprise guests.
