Fire Investigation on Hold
An investigation into a fire on Cameron Road in Kelowna has been temporarily put on hold.
The fire, which took place early morning on January 3rd, tore through a townhouse building, severely damaging at least four units.
A lone RCMP officer on patrol spotted the blaze, then sounded his siren to wake up any remaining residents in the building and begin the evacuation.
The damage to the building was significant enough that RCMP are currently unable to fully access parts of it due to concerns about structural stability. They are at work to ensure stability to the complex so that they can determine the root cause of the fire.
Some unconfirmed reports suggest that arson may have been a factor, but RCMP have yet to confirm this.
