Four dead in Penticton - 60-year-old male suspect in custody

Penticton residents have been rocked by a deadly shooting spree which took place Monday morning.

The shooter's victims were two adult males and two adult females.

RCMP they have a 60-year-old male suspect in custody. The person turned himself in at police headquarters.

Charges are pending.

Officers were first called at about 10:30 a.m. to a home at the corner of Lakeview and Heales for a report of gunfire.

The suspect fled the scene and made his way to a home at Murray and Cornwall Drives, where three people were shot and killed.

Police say they are not releasing any names at this point.

Officers were also engaged in a standoff in the south end of the city around a motel on Skaha Lake Road and Yorkton.

One person was taken into custody...RCMP say the two incidents are unreleated.
