Housing Minister Visits Project

My Place

It's a first step to resolve for Vernon's homeless crisis.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Selina Robinson, officially opened My Place, on 27 Avenue in Vernon on Thursday.

The 52-unit supportive housing project is almost complete and people will begin moving in in mid-June, in a step to alleviate the housing shortage in Vernon.  Turning Points Collaborative will operate My Place. Each unit is private with a washroom and kitchen. The ground floor includes a commercial grade kitchen, common dining area and laundry.

The facility will have 24-hour staffing as well as mental health and addiction programs.
