New amusement park in works for Penticton

There could be a super park in operation near Penticton by the summer of 2020.

That's the word from the K'ul Group...which is the economic side of the Penticton Indian Band.

Word out that...Avion Developments, K’uL Group and the PIB have revived a partnership which developed last year.

Back in December, PIB Members voted against a proposal for a 940 acre amusement park....which would have included ziplines, a mountain coaster, a waterpark, mountain biking, a chairlift, an amphitheatre and more, on the reserve.

This time, the proposal has the super park getting built on game farm lands south of Penticton.

K'ul Group will now focus on engaging PIB Members.

The band has already approved a Chief and Council resolution to start the lease process.

Environmental and infrastructure assessments, community engagement and negotiations between the Ku’L Group and Avion are underway.
