Another snowstorm coming to the Okanagan
Another dump of snow is expected in the Okanagan today.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the North Okanagan, including Vernon.
Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says while there's no warning currently for Kelowna and surrounding area, we will still get a significant amount of snow.
“We do expect about 5 to 10 centimeters tonight for Kelowna, the heaviest snow coming tonight and potentially another 2 to 4 centimeters of light snow falling during the day tomorrow”
The snowfall is not expected to be as heavy as the dump of snow that fell over the weekend.
Charbonneau says after the storm system passes, the weather will improve and get warmer.
“Between Friday and next Tuesday we just have a forecast of mainly cloudy conditions,” she said “The highs during the day are going to be around 5 degrees it will drop down below freezing overnight around minus 2 or 3 degrees but definitely a bit warmed than what we’ve seen”
She says there are also no more major snowstorms on the horizon after tomorrow.
