Maskell, who has no previous criminal record, also faces charges of aggravated assault and unlawfully possessing and discharging a firearm.
Additionally, at the time of the arrest, police searching Maskell's residence found evidence that suggested the house was being used in trafficking drugs such as coccaine and GHB. No charges have been filed against Maskell relating to this, however.
Another West Kelowna man was also arrested at the same time with Maskell, but was later released.
