Average retail gas prices in BC up this week
Average gasoline prices in British Columbia have risen 3.5 cents-a-litre in the past week, averaging 123.8 - according to GasBuddy.com.
That's 11.7 cents higher than the same day a year ago, and 12.6-cents higher than a month ago.
The average national price has increased 5.2 cents-a-litre to just over 113 cents-a-litre.
GasBuddy's Dan McTeague says carbon taxes in Ontario and Alberta, introduced Monday, have begun to send average national pump prices up two cents a litre.
Kelowna's average pump price is 119.9 cents-a-litre - while Vancouver drivers are paying 134.6.
