Body found in West Kelowna identified

The RCMP and the BC Coroner's Service have identified remains found in West Kelowna last week as those of a 31-year-old Kelowna man.

On Thursday, August 2nd, police responded to a report of a man down near the intersection of Campbell Place and Campbell Road. Approximately 200 meters down an embankment, they discovered his dead body.  

The man's family has been notified of his death. To respect the family's privacy, the identity of the man is not being released publicly at this time.

Based on the findings of the investigation, which is being led by the Coroner's Service, the man's death is not being considered criminal in nature.
