Hot week with potential showers

With highs in the low thirties expected early this week, the record high of 28 degrees for this time of year has been broken.

But Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa West says it might not be all clear skies this week.

“The chance of showers and perhaps even a risk of thunderstorms will return to the forecast, beginning Wednesday through Friday,” says West.

It’s also expected to cool down later on in the week, but not by very much.

Currently, temperatures are 10 to 12 degrees higher than normal in Kelowna, but that could go down to 5 to 8 degrees above normal later this week.
