Kelowna condo market booming

A sure sign the condo market in Kelowna is booming.

In a 48 hour period this past weekend, 35 homes were sold at the 'Brooklyn', a 25 storey condo project located between St. Paul and Bertram Street.

"Concrete construction in downtown Kelowna, where absolutely everything is at your doorstep. People are just seeing great value and are wanting to live downtown, so we have lots of interest."

Mission Group Co-CEO Randy Shier says the project should be completed by the spring of 2021.

"Over half of the buyers are local. The other ones come from all over the province and even Alberta. The reason they are buying? They see it as a great place to have a place to stay when they come to visit. Everyone wants to be in Kelowna. When they aren't here, they want to rent it out," Shier added.
