Kelowna Gospel Mission Thanksgiving Dinner Monday
Kelowna's Gospel Mission will serve up its annual Thanksgiving Dinner this Monday.
Mission Executive Director Randy Benson says the dinner is open to people who stay at the emergency shelter as well as anyone who is struggling to make ends meet.
Benson says last year the Mission served over 960 Thanksgiving dinners - but with expenses going up, and affordable housing extremely difficult to find, he says they expect to serve more people than ever on Monday.
Over 50 volunteers will be serving meals including local politicians Stephen Fuhr, Steve Thomson, Norm Letnick and Ryan Donn.
The Kelowna Gospel Mission is on Leon Avenue, and Thanksgiving dinner begins at noon until 6:00 pm on October 9th.
