Kelowna welcomes Olympians home

The City of Kelowna threw a welcome home celebration for its Olympians Wednesday afternoon.

Members of the community got the opportunity to get pictures and autographs from gold medalist Kelsey Serwa, as well as Tess Critchlow ahead of a Q and A session with Mayor Colin Basran.

People in attendance had nothing but positive things to say about their very own gold medalist.

“Kelsey Serwa is my hero, because I’ve always wanted to meet her in real life and I can today,” said one young fan.

At the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Serwa won gold in the women's ski cross event, while Critchlow finished 9th in the women's snowboard cross event.
