Man Accused of Sexual Assault Headed to Trial
A Kelowna man facing some very serious charges is looking to take his case to trial.
Scott Wayne Milnthorp was arrested back in early February after allegedly assaulting, sexually assaulting, and uttering threats towards Shannon Cross-Lowe.
He has been in custody since then, and appeared in court via video conference on Thursday morning to reaffirm his desire to go to trial.
Now the matter has been handed to the Judicial Case Manager, who will look into a portential trial date.
The trial is expected to last a half day, and two witnesses will be coming forward.
Milnthorp will remain in custody leading up to the trial.
