Motorcycles Hitting Kelowna Streets.

The 10th Annual Motorcycle Ride for Dad is happening this Sunday.

Kick stands are up at 10 a.m. with a police escort through Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton and Okanagan Falls.

Since 2009, the event has raise just over a quarter of a million dollars for the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation.

"It has really put our cancer clinic on the map as far as their research and what it’s done and about $100,000 has been spent on awareness and education,” said Co-Chairman, Bob Carron

He believes British Columbia could be the last province in Canada to fund prostate exams and that many more males would get tested if that were the case

"Guys, don’t be afraid. You're going to give a little sample of blood and they'll go from there and then you go every 2 years. Early detection, that's what's going to save a lot of lives,” said Carron.

When the convoy returns to Kelowna, there will be music, food, and prizes to give away.

People who pledge $100 or more are entered for a chance to win concert tickets or a weekend getaway.
