Mountain biker rescued in Rose Valley Regional Park

At approximately 2:20 pm today, West Kelowna Fire Rescue received a call for an injured mountain biker in Rose Valley Regional Park.

The patient was quickly accessed by crews on foot via the park trail system.

He was suffering from what appeared to be a knee injury, but was otherwise in stable condition.

Crews transported the patient out on a rescue mobility device known as “the wheel,” and was turned over to waiting BC Ambulance crews in the parking lot.

RCMP also attended the scene.
