Mountain Bikes stolen

The Kelowna RCMP are investigating after as many as 38 mountain bikes were stolen overnight from the back of a trailer owned by Myra Canyon Bike Rentals.

Thieves reportedly stole a Ford F-250 pickup truck with the bikes on the back of a customized trailer from a property on McCulloch Road.

Not only did the thieves make off with over three dozen Giant brand mountain bikes, four additional kids bikes, a couple of blue bike stands and about 60 helmets were also in the back of the pickup truck at the time of the theft.

“We are confident that motorists in the Central Okanagan would have remembered seeing the stolen vehicle and unique trailer mobile on our roadways, either sometime late last night or early this morning,” says RCMP Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey.

Witnessed to the crime are asked to contact the RCMP.

“We want to hear about all possible sightings of the stolen pickup truck and trailer and from anyone with any information that would be of assistance in the ongoing theft investigation,” O'Donaghey added.
