Periods of showers and flurries this week

A slow moving cold front will bring unsettled weather to the Okanagan for the rest of the week.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Armel Castellan says there won't be a lot of rain or snow with this system, but there will be periods when we could see both.

"There's going to be intermittent rain and snow, Wednesday into Thursday, and then again in the latter half of the weekend," he says.

Castellan says there will be a bit of a rebound on Friday, with a mix of sun and cloud, but for most of the week, there'll be a chance of showers or flurries.

And as the snow level drops to 1100 metres Tuesday and Wednesday nights, he says many of the mountain passes will see flurries - especially in those overnight hours.

If you're going to be travelling on the Coquihalla, or Okanagan Connector, he suggests checking DriveBC for up-to-date conditions.
