Police arrest teen who assaulted a bus driver last month

The person who assaulted a BC Transit bus driver last month has been arrested.

Kelowna RCMP say they positively identified the suspect as a 17-year-old Kelowna male using surveillance footage on the bus.

On February 13 at 12:30pm a bus driver on Highway 97 near Hudson Road in West Kelowna was struck by a male who fled the bus on foot.

Police say they arrested the 17-year-old Thursday morning after he allegedly stole a car in Rutland. He faces several charges.
