Reservists getting a pay raise

The MP for Kelowna-Lake Country says it is welcome news that reservists across Canada are getting a pay raise.

Stephen Fuhr says starting in August, the pay rate for a first-year corporal will increase from $140 to $153 a day.

That's a 7.8 percent increase.

The Government of Canada recently announced the Reserve Force will increase by 1,500 members.
