Rotary District 5060 has a new Governor

On Friday July 5th Kelowna Resident, Dr. Peter Schultz, was installed as the District Governor 2019-2020 for District 5060 of Rotary.

This is a great accomplishment for Peter and honour for all 9 Rotary Clubs in the Kelowna area.

Rotary International was launched in 1905 and the Rotary Club of Kelowna was established in 1928.

Rotary is the largest service organization in the world with global network of 1.5 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in oneself.

During the Change Over event Peter shared: “We have a tremendous opportunity in our district to "Be Inspired" as Rotary International President Barry Rassin encouraged us in 2018-2019, and to "Connect the World" as this year's President Mark Maloney would have us do!  We are strong, with a growing membership, tremendous activities and projects both locally and globally, and the positive leadership we need to grow Rotary.”

The Rotary Club of Kelowna, along with all the other clubs in district 5060, is pleased to welcome Peter as the district governor for 2019-2020.
