The first snowfall of the season in Kelowna is almost here.
Matt MacDonald at Environment Canada says it's expected to begin Friday (Nov. 9) during the morning commute - at around 7:00 or 8:00 am..
"It's going to continue through the early afternoon and turn into wet flurries - nothing huge - about 2 to 4-centimetres," he says.
As for the highways, MacDonald says it's expected to snow all day Friday on the Okanagan Connector with about 10 to 12 cms forecast - on the Coquihalla, 5 cms could fall between Hope and the summit - and 2 to 4 between Kamloops and Merritt.
He says Saturday and Sunday are still looking sunny with highs near 4.
