Snowfall warning continues for Coquihalla Hwy
The Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt continues to be the focus of heavy snowfall.
Environment Canada's Alyssa Charbonneau says the region received 16 centimetres overnight Wednesday, and could receive another 15 to 25 today into Thursday morning - which means the 'snowfall warning' stands.
She says looking ahead - that stretch of the Coquihalla will keep getting snow for the rest of the week.
"While we do expect the next wave to be heaviest Wednesday night into Thursday morning, we don't actually see the snow stopping and potentially there could be additional accummulations Friday and Saturday," says Charbonneau. "Then it looks like there could be lighter snow on Sunday and Monday."
Charbonneau says in Kelowna - there's a chance of both flurries and rain showers for the next several days.
