South Pandosy rental project is approved
At a public hearing last night, Kelowna City Council approved another six storey mixed residential/commercial construction project in South Pandosy. It'll be on West Avenue.
Mayor Basran found it hard to understand those opposed.
"Yes, it's a six storey building. What's currently allowed in that area is 18 meters. The project will be 18.3 meters. So, we're talking about a foot here. When you say one foot is a huge departure from the official community plan, I just have to disagree."
Basran says not only is the property going to be rentals, but there will be one, two and even three bedroom apartments.
The project was approved with four councillors absent from the hearing.
