Three days of rain for Kelowna
Kelowna might be seeing its fair share of precipitation this week, with rain expected from Tuesday to Thursday.
"We've got a cold front that's going to move through bringing some showers beginning Tuesday morning for the Okanagan," says Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa West. "There's still the risk of some showers even behind that front for Tuesday evening."
A second weather system is expected follow that, bringing rain from Wednesday evening to Thursday.
During this time, the cooler air that comes with these cold fronts could decrease daily high temperatures to below ten degrees.
Meanwhile the upper elevations haven't quite gotten out of winter weather yet. There's a chance of some flurries and strong winds up there starting Tuesday, with chances of that increasing later on in the week.
At this time, however, no warnings have been issued for the highways around Kelowna.
Once the expected rainy weather clears up, Friday looks to be a bright spot for the week, with the sun coming back out again.
