Weather : The Week Ahead

Environment Canada figures we'll have a pretty typical week for this time of year.  Highs close to minus 1, and overnight lows dipping to around minus 6.

We may avoid precipitation in the Okanagan as well.  Environment Canada meteorologist Cindy Yu says there's a high pressure ridge moving through BC and it's taking the rain/snow toward the Yukon, not the interior.  Yu says, "There's a catch.  Even though we are talking about a ridge of high pressure, for the interior of BC we know that because of our mountain valleys we tend to get 'valley fog' forming under a really stagnant air mass and that's exactly what we are expecting."

Yu says the fog is more likely in the mornings with some sunny breaks in the afternoons.
