Curler pursues "other dreams".

After 18 years of professional curling, Kelowna's Tyrel Griffith is leaving the sport.

The 33 year-old has spent eight years as the second on Jim Cotter's rink, competing six times at the Brier.

On Twitter, Griffith says - quote -  "ts time to pursue other dreams".

Born in Calgary, Griffith started playing curling at 15.

His resume includes appearances at the Brier in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and again in 2019.

In 2014, Griffith's and Team Morris finished second to Alberta's Kevin Koe 10-5.
